The whole chapter is a peeve. It does only contain copy&paste from the help, but explains nothing further. Therefore drop the chapter completely.
The guide should contain themed chapters, "Working with date and time", "Using regular expressions", "Creating an own tool bar" for example.

Input settings section; Expand formatting
This section is a copy&paste from the help. But the description is wrong. The formatting is applied, when a new cell is inserted.Regina 17:49, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
