I recently updated to OO version 3.1 from 3.0 and I'm having an extemly frustrating problem with cell notes in a spreadsheet making them unuseable. The spreadsheet is saved as type Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP[.xls] which I have used for many years in previous OO versions. I'm using windowsxp. When I show any note it displays with the font & position as I created it. But when the note is displayed with the pointer over the cell it displays in a larger font and not in the position I set it for. Because of this only a few characters show up in the note since the yellow box does not display in the size created. Version 3.0 did not have this problem although both versions do not have the capablility to setup a default font for notes. The default is always Arial 12 even though my spreadsheet is setup for Arial 8. How do I get my notes positioned correctly & setup a default? Is there a macro of some sort that will fix this or better handle notes? Is this problem being addressed anywhere? GeorgeD

Hi George, your questions are totally wrong in this place. This page is for discussion of the content of the corresponding Calc Guide page. For such questions as yours, you can use one of the ways shown on http://support.openoffice.org/ or use the mailing list users@sc.openoffice.org http://sc.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectMailingListList
