(15:01:14) blauwal [n=jr93709@sd-socks-197.staroffice.de] entered the room.
(15:01:18) mdamboldt: I'm not aware of any open issues, seems RC1 is fine.
(15:01:37) ja_: 2.3.1 release: I've not seen any open issues and I've finished testing
(15:01:38) Rafaella [n=chatzill@p5B109B5F.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] entered the room.
(15:01:39) _Nesshof_: so, we're ready to release ?
(15:01:50) _rene_: _Nesshof_: next week, yes ;-
(15:01:56) _Nesshof_: what about the other localizations beside en_Us ?
(15:01:56) ja_: _Nesshof_: yes
(15:01:57) MechtiIde: It seems so
(15:02:14) UweL: yes
(15:02:17) _Nesshof_: _rene_: why not this week ?
(15:04:23) _Nesshof_: which l10ns will be ready until end of this week ?
(15:05:36) pjout: cs will be ready
(15:06:05) MechtiIde: de will also be ready
(15:06:24) ja_: _Nesshof_: in qatrack we have en-US, de, fr and ja in QA
(15:08:21) ***_Nesshof_ proposes to wait for fr and ja until the end of the week
(15:08:29) ja_: I will have to cleanup more older versions from ftp master before we can release
(15:08:38) _Nesshof_: and release as planned on Decemeber 4th
(15:09:05) _Nesshof_: anything else for 2.3.1 ?
(15:09:29) _Nesshof_: 2.4 status: any updates ?
(15:09:53) blauwal: Ivo is currently doing the feature freeze integrations
(15:10:15) blauwal: there are so many CWSs that we should expect some smaller problems with m238
(15:10:51) pjout: blauwal: I will try to help clear them out.
(15:11:05) blauwal: pjout: great
(15:11:53) _Nesshof_: blauwal: so we're ready to branch off OOH680 next week ?
(15:12:29) blauwal: _Nesshof_: If necessary, yes. But as always we should wait until a real need is there.
(15:12:31) pjout: I suggest to do extensive post-tagging and pre-announce tests then :-)
(15:13:45) blauwal: pjout: We always do such tests :)
(15:13:53) _rene_: will we have openssl in the OpenOffice2 alias this time? :)
(15:13:58) rtimm: What is QA saying regarding branching? Last time we (RE) wanted to split early but QA was against that because of limit ressources.
(15:14:14) _Nesshof_: _rene_: this time '?
(15:15:26) _rene_: _Nesshof_: yes, a clean m237 co didn't pull openssl
(15:15:56) _Nesshof_: _rene_: you were talking about OOH680 ?
(15:16:57) _Nesshof_: RE duties seems to be clear this week
(15:16:59) _rene_: no. m237. and http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=82748 which indeed is fixed according to collabse.net
(15:17:05) _rene_: so nevermind :)
(15:17:06) IZBot: issue 82748: www TASK RESOLVED FIXED P3 Need alias for "scext" in cvs
(15:17:21) _Nesshof_: next agenda item: Limit the download from the server between packing the server and releasing
(15:17:34) _rene_: (the openssl issue is marked as duplicate of that one, hopefully they fixed both for that issue)
(15:17:34) _Nesshof_: whose agenda item is this ?
(15:17:40) blauwal: _rene_: it is fixed, I just checked the alias
(15:17:57) _rene_: blauwal: ok, thanks
(15:18:09) MechtiIde: yes last time on weekend many people tried to download 2.3.0 before PM
(15:18:23) MechtiIde: _Nesshof_, it's mine
(15:19:43) MechtiIde: someone posted in usenet the version would be released secret
(15:20:36) _Nesshof_: and how to limit the download ?
(15:21:34) MechtiIde: maybe ja_ has a tip
(15:21:57) ja_: Mechtilde: this item is easily to solve: don't look at the 'upload' message within the releases list but have a look at the 'release' email in the QA mailling list. The email within the releases list is just a notification that binaries have been uploaded to mirror master and to publish MD5SUMS. The email in de@qa is a notification that you actually can download the binaries.
(15:22:39) _rene_: ja_: yes, she knows
(15:22:51) _rene_: ja_: $random_downloader doesn't.
(15:23:40) MechtiIde: $random_downloader look at ftp.stardiv.de and see the new release and post it
(15:24:14) MechtiIde: and this before you (ja_) has sent any mail
(15:25:33) ja_: Mechtilde: I cannot reduce and I don't want to reduce such downloads. If you meet such a person you could notify him/her that this version hasn't been approved for release.
(15:26:07) ja_: Mechtilde: and add "not yet"
(15:27:20) MechtiIde: ok
(15:29:08) _Nesshof_: so what is the outcome: the problem is not solvable at all ?
(15:29:11) pjout: who will be RE this week?
(15:29:54) blauwal: Ivo
(15:30:03) ja_: _Nesshof_: it's solvable by informing people to wait for a release notification
(15:30:30) blauwal: pjout: If there is an unexpected 2.3.1 problem probably Kurt
(15:31:00) MechtiIde: ja_, but who wants to wait
(15:31:23) ja_: Mechtilde: In this case I have no clue how to stop them
(15:31:48) _Nesshof_: anything else for today ?
(15:32:18) _Nesshof_: by
(15:32:22) ja_: bye
