Passionate about designing and delivering great software. So are we, join us!

With your help, we can make OpenOffice a great tool for people to create, edit and share any kind of information. OpenOffice helps people turn their ideas into documents.

Design Help Wanted

If you're interested in user experience and visual design work, or supporting the UX community effort, we'd love to hear from you. We need people to get involved in the following areas:

Growing and sustaining the community in support of UX-oriented effort is an important goal for the program.

  • mailing list participation
  • forum participation
  • wiki content management

User Experience Design

Through design research and strategic analysis, AOO UX seeks to gain insight into our users, their needs, and how they integrate OpenOffice into their life. Design research and analysis inspires and guides informed design. Design explorations and design concepts are created to realize our user's requirements. Design concepts are reviewed, tested, refined and crafted into a focused design direction. To turn ideas into reality, we specify, document, and deliver project details to the community for implementation. Our efforts support both the OpenOffice project's Web resources and the OpenOffice software. If you're interested in, or have expertise in research, design and evaluation methods, we want to hear from you!
