java-1.5.0-gcj typically comprises of: ecj (Eclipse Compiler for Java) as the compiler (javac), gij (GNU Interpreter for Java) as the bytecode interpreter (java) and libgcj (derived from GNU Classpath) plus some additional java components such as Xalan/Xerces as the implementation for the core Java Class Libraries.
