OOoArt--Web Icons Task

This is a tryout page. First time we've attempted to use the Wiki as a environment for collaborating on Artworks.

For my part I would prefer to see more of a consistency through-out the site. To that end, as Andre suggested, I think we need to decide on a style pallet. The two most appropriate pallets for our use are arguably

  • Tango: The pallet used for the design of the UI of Freedesktop.org [Tango Palette image] and
  • Galaxy: The pallet that is being used to create the new icon set for OOo. Click here for[Galaxy Palette]

Tango has very clear guidelines [[1]] but is possibly too "Gnomish" in it's look and feel and may not look so good in another environment .

Galaxy also has defined guidelines but like the Tango guidelines there is nothing specific to web UI however I doubt that's an issue.
