Supported file formats

The default file format for Apache OpenOffice is the Open Document Format (ODF) for office applications. The software can also read and write numerous other formats including Microsoft® Office.

Currently Apache OpenOffice only reads the newer Office Open XML formats (OOXML) such as docx, xlsx, etc.
