Basic and UNO use different type systems. While Apache OpenOffice Basic is compatible to Visual Basic and its type system, UNO types correspond to the IDL specification (see Data Types), therefore it is necessary to map these two type systems. This chapter describes which Basic types have to be used for the different UNO types.
