TAN

Returns the tangent of the given angle (in radians).


Syntax:

TAN(angle)

returns the (trigonometric) tangent of angle, the angle in radians.
To return the tangent of an angle in degrees, use the RADIANS function.


Example:

TAN(PI()/4)

returns 1, the tangent of PI/4 radians.

TAN(RADIANS(45))

returns 1, the tangent of 45 degrees.
