IMSUB

Returns the difference between 2 complex numbers.

This function is only available if the Analysis AddIn is installed.

Syntax:

IMSUB(complexnum1; complexnum2)

Returns complexnum1 - complexnum2, where complexnum1 and complexnum2 are complex numbers as text, or references to cells containing complex numbers as text.

Example:

IMSUB("7+5i"; "3+2i")

returns 4+3i as text.

IMSUB(A1; A2)

where cell A1 contains the text 3+4i and cell A2 contains 1+2i, returns 2+2i as text.

Issues:

  • This function currently appears in the AddIn category of the Function Wizard.
