Improvements of language selection

It is pretty obvious that changing the language of either the whole document or only parts of it is comparably awkward in Writer. There is also no visual control about the language of the currently selected text. We have received several issues about this and the result is now consolidated in three of them.

How to use page styles?

There are some issues around functionality in OOo that needs to be implemented with page styles. The UI problems created by this are discussed here.

Utilization of new Smart Tags API

In OOo 2.2 we will have an API for Smart Tags that is already enabled in the build. It will stay inactive until libraries using this API as a service provider are installed. In the next time we will review the API and create some libraries. Of course as this work can be done as an extension new developers can work on this topic easily. Interested developers are welcome to contribute. In case you are interested please join us on our dev mailing list.
